What is the pool rule in Florida?
In Florida, residential pools are required by law to have at least one safety feature to help prevent drowning. These safety measures can include a barrier that is at least four feet high, self-closing and self-latching doors, pool alarms, water alarms, or a safety pool cover.
A commonly recommended option for compliance is to install a four-foot fence without gaps, positioned away from the house. Failing to secure a pool can lead to serious violations, and property owners may face fines if they do not take immediate action to ensure their pool is properly secured.
